The Diamond A144-S5 is a great, light weight 2 meter antenna for portable or base use. This factory adjusted antenna weighs only 1.4 pounds. The center element is insulated from ground. This antenna may be installed for vertical (for FM) or horizontal polarization. The A144S5 is shown with the optional KB144 side mount bracket (sold separately).
This antenna was a gift to me by my wife. Thank you so much for this antenna, I love you. I have been trying to build a yagi for D-Star use and coming across some problems. I still plan on building the yagi but for now this antenna is in the attic. After installing it I was able to hit a Ft. Lauderdale repeater with 10 watts.
